History and Commitment

Coastal Med Tech, Inc. was established in April 1988. With three employees, and one office located in Ellsworth, Maine. Coastal Med Tech, Inc. had roughly two hundred patients. The locally owned and managed company went on to purchase the Respiratory Division of Addco in 2001.
With the purchase Coastal Med Tech, Inc. opened a second location in Brewer, Maine.
In 2003 the Brewer branch moved to a bigger location located in Hermon, Maine. The move was done as a larger facility was needed for the increase of patients.
In 2005 Coastal Med Tech, Inc. opened a new location in Waterville, Maine. Coastal Med Tech, Inc. had begun establishing themselves as a leader in Home Oxygen, Sleep Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Medical Equipment.
In 2007 a fourth location was opened in Lewiston, Maine.
Coastal Med Tech, Inc. saw rapid growth in 2010 as a Wilton, Maine and Calais, Maine location was opened.
In 2011 Coastal Med Tech, Inc opened the newest location in Bangor, Maine. When the Bangor location opened the Hermon, location was transferred over to a warehouse.
Coastal Med Tech, Inc. has grown rapidly since the opening in 1988. A company that started with just roughly two hundred patients has now seen over 30,000 patients. The company went from only employing three people to now having a staff of over 80 employees. Coastal Med Tech now services patients in all 16 counties in the state of Maine. Coastal Med Tech, Inc. has established itself as Maine’s Leader in Home Oxygen, Sleep Therapy, Medical Supplies, and Respiratory Services.
Coastal Med Tech, Inc. believes in patient care, and that is why we have a Respiratory Clinician on site at each of our locations.
